Caritas Past Events

Mon 24 August
The August meeting will be held on Monday 24 August at 10 am in the Meeting Room.
The guest speaker will be Bree-Anna Vincent from beyondblue. Bree-Anna will share her journey of hope, recovery and resilience in the face of postnatal depression and  will briefly cover what beyondblue does and how the audience can seek help, or support a friend or family member who may find themselves in a difficult position.
There will also be some time for discussion and questions.
All are welcome to attend the talk which will begin at 10:00.
Fri 31 July
The July meeting of Caritas will be held on Friday 31st of July as we will be taking part in the Mothers’ Union Wave of Prayer.
Venue:   The Historic Church    Time:  11am.
This activity organized by Mothers’ Union is a continual prayer session held throughout the world. The 31st is the date given for all the Mothers’ Union branches in the Southern region of the Melbourne diocese to join in prayer. The prayers are written by MU groups throughout the world and are poignant as they make us think about problems women in other parts of the world have to face.
After the service we will be gathering for lunch at the Manyung Gallery. Please let Lorraine Pigdon 97872503 know if you are staying for lunch.

This talk will be especially interesting to anyone who read Graham’s article in the September 2014 TMA and to anyone who has an interest in military history.
Also a reminder to any Caritas members to bring along the poppies they have been making ready for the Anzac Day displays.
Any enquiries can be directed to the church office.
