BAPTISMS AND CONFIRMATIONSBaptism is an outward symbol of an inward faith. When people come to saving faith in Jesus Christ they are Baptized an outward sign of their new spiritual life in Christ. Many receive the Holy Spirit at their Baptism.
Parents often baptize their children to express their intention to bring up their child in the faith and hope that the child will grow up to choose to follow Jesus. In their teen years, those children often express their own faith and confirm the promises that their parents made on their behalf as infants. This is expressed and celebrated in a Confirmation Service. Please speak to one of our Ministers if you'd like to know more. |

WEDDINGS
Marriage is a beautiful life event, and we would be honored to assist you along your journey.
Mount Eliza Anglican Church holds special memories for couples who have been married here over the years. We do require that couples undergo marriage preparation with us and that the service is according to the rites of the Anglican Church of Australia (as is required by the Anglican Church of Australia and which is a legal requirement of its ministers). The Government requires at least one month's written notice for the wedding to proceed. It is best to contact the church well in advance to discover if your preferred date is available. This is also to allow sufficient time for the preparation as well as meetings with the minister to make all the arrangements. |
FUNERALS
Funerals or Memorial Services are a great way to honour, remember, grieve, and give thanks for those we love who have departed this world. These can be arranged with the ministers in partnership with your chosen funeral directors. Funerals conducted with the coffin present are only held in the Main Church due to limited access and space in the Historic Church.
